The mission of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is to contribute to the safety and security of our citizens, ports, waterways and coastal regions, as directed by the United States Coast Guard.  We will balance our missions in Recreational Boating Safety and Coast Guard Support with Maritime Homeland Security and other challenges that emerge as a result of our growing understanding of changes required in the post-9/11 era.

8th District,  Eastern Region Division 6, Flotilla 3

Dayton, OH

Welcome to the home port of Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 6 - 3 of Eighth District Eastern Region.  The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed, volunteer component of Team Coast Guard who assist the active duty Coast Guard in all of its varied missions, except for military and direct law enforcement actions. These men and women can be found on the nation's waterways, in the air, in classrooms, and on the dock, performing Maritime Domain Awareness patrols, safety patrols, vessel safety checks, and public education.

Flotilla 6-3 is one of many in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.  It is an organization of volunteers who donate their time and possibly their facilities (aircraft, boats, and radios) to assist the United States Coast Guard in their non-military, non-law enforcement activities.

Flotilla 6-3 covers the greater Dayton area and serves lakes of the Miami Valley including Indian Lake, Caesar Creek Lake, and Grand Lake.  The Flotilla holds meetings every month on the fourth Monday.  Meetings begin at 1900 hours (7:00 p.m.) in the Miami Township Administration Building located at 2700 Lyons Road, Miamisburg, OH 45342 (in township complex south of the Dayton Mall).

The public is invited to attend.
